Spooner Care Centers Under New Ownership

Dove Healthcare, a Wisconsin based post-acute and long-term care provider, has announced the purchase of a skilled nursing center and an assisted living residence in Spooner, WI. 

Maple Ridge Care Center is now Dove Healthcare - Spooner, and The Villas at Maple Ridge is now Dove Healthcare - Spooner Assisted Living. The acquisition includes the attached Spooner Business Center where 10 local businesses lease space.

Dove Healthcare CEO Jeremy Kiley stated, "Spooner is just a short drive from our Barron County locations. We look forward to expanding our outreach and collaborating with Spooner's established leadership team to advance quality care in Washburn County."

Dove Healthcare - Spooner, located at 510 First Street, is a licensed skilled nursing center with up to 75 residents receiving care by nurses and certified nursing assistants 24-hours a day. Core services include inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, post-hospital care, skilled nursing, long-term care, and end-of-life care.  

Dove Healthcare - Spooner Assisted Living is located on the second floor of Dove Healthcare - Spooner and can be accessed via the First Street or Ash Street entrance. Features include 14 private rooms, access to 24-hour care by trained resident assistants, three meals daily, medication administration, social activities, as well as housekeeping and laundry services.  

Director of Operations Joe Muench will work closely with Spooner Administrator Kali Mertens to ensure both locations are equipped with the resources needed to achieve established goals, strategies, and expected outcomes. Muench has 35 years of long-term care experience and joined Dove Healthcare in 2015.
